Fall Is the Best Season to Build
By Addison Mason ยท Published Nov 1, 2026

You've been meaning to do this for two summers now. And every September you look out back, sigh a little, and figure you've missed your window again.
You haven't. If anything, you're right on time. Fall is the longest working stretch of the whole year. The ground is cooler and drier, good crews finally have room in their schedules, and the material is standing in our yard right now instead of sitting somewhere on order. September through November is the most forgiving season there is for setting a patio, a walkway or a wall.
Most folks call us in May. The ones who end up happiest call us right about now.
The Cap Is the Part Everybody Skips
A wall isn't just block. It's a base, drainage stone and a cap, all doing a job together. The cap is the lid. It keeps water from running straight down into the wall and sitting there all winter.
It's the least expensive piece of the whole build and the one that decides how long everything else lasts. Skip it to save a little now and you'll be rebuilding in a decade. Come look at the capped and uncapped walls out back and you'll never skip one again.

Flagstone, and Why No Two Pallets Match
Full color flagstone is quarried, not made, so the blues, rusts and warm buff tones shift from pallet to pallet. That's the whole reason people fall for it.
It's also the reason to buy the entire job in one go. Come back in six weeks for two more pallets and they won't quite match what you've already laid. Come see it in daylight first. We'll pull pieces and set them side by side for you, and you'll know within a minute.

Come Walk the Yard With Us
Bring whatever you've got, even if it's just a photo and some rough measurements scribbled on an โ๏ธ envelope, and we'll talk through what the job really takes before you spend a ๐ฐ dime.
